Every conversion on TubeMixLab is subject to the standards below. The confirmation line above each Convert or Export button refers to this page, and using the tools means you accept it.

What TubeMixLab is

TubeMixLab is a general-purpose audio tool. It converts, trims, merges and re-encodes audio from a YouTube URL you supply — as MP3, FLAC or WAV — and hands you the resulting file. It hosts no media library of its own, indexes nothing, and stores no finished file for longer than 30 minutes. It cannot tell, and does not attempt to judge, whether you hold the rights to a particular video.

What you may convert

• Audio you created or own outright, including your own uploads.
• Material in the public domain.
• Material released under a licence that permits reuse — for example a Creative Commons licence whose terms you are following.
• Material you have the rights holder's permission to use.
• Material where your specific use is permitted by law in your country — fair use or fair dealing for study, review, criticism, news or research, for instance. What qualifies differs by jurisdiction and is narrower than most people assume.

What you may not convert

Anything you have no right to copy. Most commercially released music, film and television audio falls here, whoever uploaded it to YouTube and whether or not the upload is itself authorised. Downloading a copy of a song you do not own is not made lawful by the song being publicly viewable, by the file being for personal use, or by this site being free.

Converting such material may also breach YouTube's own Terms of Service, which are an agreement between you and YouTube. That agreement is yours to keep, not ours to enforce.

Who is responsible

You are. You choose the URL, you choose what to do with the file, and you are solely responsible for whether that is lawful where you are. TubeMixLab provides the tool and makes no representation that any particular conversion is permitted. Nothing on this page is legal advice — if a use matters to you commercially, ask a lawyer rather than a converter site.

If you are a rights holder

Report content you want blocked, or submit a copyright complaint, via Copyright / DMCA. That page lists what to include and where to send it. Reports are reviewed individually and we respond as promptly as we can.

Repeat infringement

Access to the tools may be withdrawn from anyone we believe is using them to infringe copyright, and we co-operate with legitimate legal process.
